Postcards

Sometimes the other side is more interesting than the picture.

Monument Bridge-03_edited.jpg

Church Street, Watford

In this lovely coincidence, this postcard of Church Road, Watford, was mailed by Annie Parrot from 51 Church Road on 28 Sept 1908 to Mrs. Brown in Sussex (I cannot make out the town)
In the 1911 census, Annie lived at this address with her dad Thomas Parrot and her married sister Emma Wills.

The postcard reads: “Dear Mrs. Brown You will see I arrived home safe about ½ past 10 met my friend at Willesden she came in 5 minutes after I arrive[sic] there hoping you are all well. I am looking to coming to see you again. Kind regards to all yours sincerely A Parrot”.
